Errata Editions at PhotoLA

Every year hundreds of young people are attracted to California with stars in their eyes and the hopes of being discovered by Hollywood. They dream of their faces gracing the silver screen, the flash of photostrobes as they walk the red carpet, and a house high in the Hollywood hills. Most will practice imaginary Academy Award acceptance speeches if front of cracked mirrors in ramshackle SRO's before the casting couch eats them alive - spitting their bones out to be washed into the lower depths of the gutter...

I too have such a dream...

Join Errata Editions at PhotoLA on Friday, January 9th, from 5pm until whenever at the Schaden.com booth for our small, informal book launch. Come enjoy a drink, bask in my unhealthy optimism, and see the first of the Books on Books series before disillusionment sets in and they find me babbling like Margo Kidder in someone's topiary hopped up on pain killers and cough syrup. Help prevent this tragedy...it is up to you.

I will be at PhotoLA from January 8th until they throw me out the night of the 11th. We will have sets of the Books on Books #1-4 trade editions on hand as well as a few of the limited editions. Stop by and say hello.

So in LA they get the David Lynch/ Mulholland Drive treatment and all I got at the Manhattan book launch was ... bubble wrap.

How do you really feel about Manhattan, Brooklynder?

I'm not complaining, just saying...

Also, how close are you to selling out the first set? And, more importantly, announcing the second?

Verninino,

Oh we're going to have a proper launch Manhattan style soon. Probably in February. It will be the real deal.

The limited's are down to about the last 50 sets. The second four in the series is being decided and will announce as soon as we're locked and the picture is up.

BTW, maybe you should think about updating the news section of Errata editions website. Love the books, can't wait to buy the second set. Good luck.

Dolphin,

Thanks for the kind words.

Vern,

We actually did go to a party in the hills and wound up driving a good stretch of Mullholland. Great time.

To all that stopped by the booth - Thank you for doing so. I had a great time.
